Are You Spending Too Much Time Creating?

One of the questions I ask my clients is this: “How much time do you spend creating new materials vs. how much time do you spend out in front of your target market?”

This is a crucial question, because, for the majority of them, they sit in their offices creating website pages, new ebooks, new CD’s and so on when what they really need is to be out in front of their target audience- meeting them, connecting with them, selling to them.

It’s easy to stay inside and put together the perfect product in your head. But to create a truly great product- one that is well received, helpful, and sells well, requires feedback.

Are You Waiting To Be Motivated?

Waiting for motivation is not a sound business strategy. The idea for this blog post became clear to me a couple of weeks ago, when I was working with one of my inner circle mentoring clients. In our call, we were discussing the process of finding motivation to do the sales and marketing you need to do.

One of the key factors in my coaching style is that I will push back on my clients, and I will push back hard. This isn’t because I want to be mean to my clients. It’s because I truly and deeply want them to succeed. I see so many entrepreneurs struggling day after day, running here and there and everywhere, just because they are trying to figure everything out on their own.
