How to Be a Guru

One of the biggest desires most of my clients have is to be the #1 expert in their niches. They want to be on Oprah. They want their own TV show. They want to be seen as the #1 solution for the biggest problem their target market has. They want to be a guru.

The 3 Levels of Mastery

Another concept I’d like to share with you is that of the 3 levels of mastery.

You can use this concept for yourself, and for your clients.

Although I am a big fan of writing and publishing your book, I also know that most people will never move forward to invest in your highest end programs simply from reading your book. How Close Are You To the Action?

As you may know, I visited Disneyland with my family a few weeks ago. It was a great vacation. We spent the day roaming around the park, riding the rides, eating good food, and attending concerts and live shows.

One of the concerts we saw was Aerosmith. My kids were thrilled. While at the concert, I noticed an interesting phenomena, one that is important for all of is in business today.

That phenomena was this: I noticed that the people in the first 10 rows of the concert were ecstatic. They were jumping up and down, dancing, singing, waving their arms. As I examined the rows of people behind them, I found that, generally, the concert goers were more restrained, less active, and seemed less enthusiastic.

A Values Based Strategy for Hiring Good Employees

I wanted to continue on the theme of hiring good employees in this post. It’s important because as you sell high priced programs, you will have the cash flow available to expand your business. While you definitely want to reinvest in marketing, you may also want to bring on some additional skills and talents either part-time or full time.

One strategy which as worked well in my business is that of a values based approach. I use this strategy whenever I want to hire new employees, or when I am creating joint ventures with other businesses.
