As you may know, we offer an executive mentoring and training program to help experts develop and promote their own high priced programs. One marketing element I encourage all my clients to add to their business is that of video marketing.

I do a lot of video marketing, and it always makes me smile when I go to events and people come up to me, saying, “You must be Glenn Dietzel. I saw some of your videos.” This makes me smile because it means my video marketing is working. Are you using video marketing in your business?

If not, you need to start. While text and audio are good, video is even better.

I always strive to be memorable, provocative, and a little bit edgy or unexpected in my videos.

Let me give you a few of my tips for building better videos:

  • First, and most importantly, your videos must give great content. Demonstrate your expertise and special knowledge in your promotional videos.
  • Use a script. Very few of us can speak well to the camera without one.
  • Give yourself enough time to make the video. You might need a few extra takes the first couple of times.
  • Keep your videos short: 3-5 minutes, maximum

Start writing out the script for your next video. You’ll be ready to move ahead with my next set of video marketing tips.
