Business Coaching Training: They Poked Fun At Me While I Was Speaking At Disney!
Last Saturday while I had my second speaking engagement at Disney, my boys and Fiona were at Calum’s year end travel basketball party. At the party each parent was presented with an award pertaining to a character trait or something that had happened during the course of the basketball season.
When it came to me, the presenter announced that Glenn Dietzel had won the award “Dream Big Or Go Home“!
What’s really interesting at a number of levels is that this totally fits my outlook in life.
Here I was accomplishing another dream of mine speaking at Disney, this just after sharing the stage with Tony Robbins. And at the same time I was winning another award back home!
Here’s what I want you to know too about what happened when it was announced what award I had won.
Though I won the ‘Dream’ Award, there was an air of poking fun (good naturedly) at me according to my wife, Fiona.
Calum’s team finished winning silver in the second highest division in Ontario (I was the only one last year who said they could even play at Division II level – the coach thought they might reach Division III out of the six divisions in Ontario travel basketball), and now I am the only one who says they can win the Division I next year!
A few questions for you to consider:
1. Do you raise the bar for your dreams or do you constantly succumb to the pressure of those around you.
One of the points I raised while speaking at Disney is this: “Nothing great ever happens in the comfort zone.” If you want to become great you must raise the bar in the context of having a mastermind team and a coach.
2. When was the last time you stepped out of your comfort zone and lived life on purpose? When was the last time you ‘risked it all’ and actually competed for something? Discovering how to effectively evaluate the worth of your information and then discover a system to help you play big is what we have done at our Mentoring Alliance at http://SellHighPricedPrograms.com.
3. How long are you going to over-think everything which is at the heart of putting of your dreams for another day?
Watch the following video where I share with you live from The Dolphin and Swan Resort on the Disney property about the most two most important factors that you have to act and play big right now.
I also share with you how to begin to take action so that you can dream big.
To Your Legacy!

Great post Glenn,
I agree, “Nothing great ever happens in the comfort zone.”
I’ve put a large white board in my office with my To Do check-list on it to push me out of my comfort zone.

P.S. I’m enjoying watching the “Awakened Ideation Process™” I purchased.

Thanks Glenn,
I am learning so much in the Inner Circle Program. I can’t believe how much benefit your coaching is really adding to my business mindset. My wife and I are excited about the future we have because of the principles I am learning with the Awakened Program. Hats off to you and your team.

Glen,
I have been thriving outside my comfort zone for over twenty years. I grew up in CT. and was often sad, suicidal, depressed, hopeless, shy and introverted beyond imagination, lonely, undernourished and WAY overdue for some REAL living. I took that step in my late twenties, moved to Boston, quit my job as a computer programmer and took to the stage. I performed as a standup comic with people like Dan Cook and Billy Martin (who now writes for Billy Crystal). I moved to Hollywood and met and worked with people like Elaine Trebek (Alex’s ex), James Cromwell (the farmer in Babe and one of the nicest guys in Hollywood–just ask Adam Sandler), James Woods, and Mercedes Ruehl (Oscar winner, best supporting actress of Fisher King).
At first is was HELL, HELL, HELL. But like anything, if you keep doing it you get better. I went from barely getting a few jokes out the first time and falling apart to being asked to perform in rooms back in Boston. I now am a pro. I’ve gotten out of comedy but to do more writing (I’ve written humor for people like Mz. Michigan) I went back to college to learn and then teach it.
Over the last twenty years I did stanup for five years and have been teaching, lecturing, speaking at college and university campuses as well as in my church. Recently, after one talk a woman pulled up to me in her car, put down her window and said, “Yooooooooou are Good!” My wife gets a little annoyed when people ask who she is and then they say, “Wife of Jeff Brown?! Oh, I love him. He’s a great speaker. He can talk about anything; he knows so much.”
So, can you overcome? Can you do the impossible? Hell, yeah. I rose from near death to take on the world. I have no fears now. As a matter of fact, I sometimes lean towards arrogant. But that’s another challenge. Imagine a suicidal boy who didn’t talk to anyone until he was in his mid-twenties being one of the best speakers on the planet.
Can you do it? If I did, you can. Believe me.
Rock on, Glenn! You Disney-ite ;=)

You are on your way to building a multi-million dollar business. Well done. And I really like your USP that we developed for your offline business. The competition is going to absolutely hate you!

We all get one life to live. We can either play it safe (which is actually the riskiest proposition) or we can live it full out and discover a journey unlike anything that we could have imagined.

Hey John:
I use a proprietary system that I have people asking me all the time when I am speaking across the world.
Trying to explain it wouldn’t do justice to me showing you. In fact, each of our clients uses this same system.
Let’s put it this way: I don’t believe in using flip videos for building the correct context for your business using the power of video.

What really rocks is the mentoring alliance that we have created and are now in the process of registering the process. And it will continue to ensure our clients’ success as they go for their entrepreneurial dreams.
Thanks, Rene.

Neil:
One of the biggest problems that people have today is they get trapped in having the same conversation with themselves week after week after week.
Congratulations on elevating your silent Q&A session. This is how the Expert Positioner Software works as well as you work with me as a Case Study.

Glenn,
Great post and right on time for me. I find that with most people it is easier to talk the talk. People are looking for the easy way out and that belief is what keeps 90% of them sitting on the sidelines watching the successful do remarkable things. Not realizing that it’s only remarkable because we get in the game.

Michael:
Thanks. Fiona is after me to stop spinning so much and/or slow it down.
I am sorry and I will try to be more considerate in the future.
