The Fast Way to Create Your Speaking Demo

As you may know, if you want to be invited to speak to groups and associations, you will need a speaking demo. This speaking demo is typically a 5-10 minute video clip of your very best presentation on a timely and relevant topic.

Most of the time, people don’t get hired because they don’t have a strong speaking demo, or they don’t even have one at all.

Create More Value, Make More Money

I’m going to give you 3 strategies you can use right now to get your speaking demo done without excuses or delays.

Strategy #1:

Speak at a University or College. Contact the local University or College and ask if they need speakers in your topic area to speak to their students. Schedule this in, and arrange to videotape your presentation. Tape the whole thing, so you can clip the best 5-10 minute segment. Give your best talk, and then get the tape professionally edited. You’ll have a strong speaking demo ready shortly after.

Strategy #2:

Set up a free teleseminar and invite 10-15 of your contacts to attend. Tape yourself delivering your message and edit this for content and brevity. Audio demos are not as good as video, but will do in a pinch.

Strategy #3:

Set up your own mini-seminar in a community hall or conference room. Invite your friends and family to attend (nobody will know the difference), and give your talk to them. Make sure, again, that it’s taped, and then get the tape professionally edited.

There is no reason you couldn’t have a speaking demo ready within the next week or two, using any of these methods.
