Growing Your Self Confidence
Before you watch the short video below I created for you at Starbucks on how to show your competitive advantage, read the short post on how to grow your self confidence.
Someone once said that it’s not who you are that holds you back, it’s who you think you’re not. Trusting in yourself is the secret key to pushing your limits and taking risks. While there are a few secrets to success, trusting yourself and building your self confidence are among the two most important.
It doesn’t mean that you’ll never get lost or that you’ll never make a mistake. What it does mean is that you’ll find a way to turn these experiences into something you learn from and that you can use in the future.
When you do fall down, what will set you apart from all the ordinary people is your ability to get up. The harder you’ll fall, the more you’ll strive. Winners just don’t quit. They “fall down seven times, get up eight.” They demonstrated courage and tenacity, even when it seems like the odds are against them. Success often requires some sacrifice.
You must cultivate belief in your talent and abilities no matter what everybody else says. No one knows you better, and no one understands you more. It’s all in you, the knowledge and the capacity to surpass the things that hinder you from becoming who you can be. You can’t please everybody all of the time, and some of these people may discourage you to move forward. You need to learn how to channel these voices out and focus more on those voices which support and encourage you.
What sets winners apart from the rest is their ability to dream big and to know that their dreams can happen.

Hi Glenn
Excellent demonstration there ! Simple diagram that I totally grasped, upon sight. When people are explaining things to me, I many times ask ‘Could you draw me a picture / sketch please [with name & phone number if needed], as that can speak a 1,000 words, along with the explanation ~ when I later sit down and journal or try to tax my memory on what they said.
Still working through much of what I have to get done, through the summer months. Hope to meet you in person, in September / October, though.
Was so looking forward to meeting you in Orlando, at Sam Crowley’s weekend Boot Camp, December past. But ~ getting home to family … after being elsewhere, while teaching the right way of marketing, was most understandable. Scott Paton shared lots too, adding to the process of explaining / demonstrating pod casting techniques, etc.
Had more then enough myself [lingered over 2 days for my flight home], with meeting all those I did. Their fantastic testimonies and sharing of dreams / goals / taking action was very overwhelming for me. Overload just isn’t healthy for anyone, and it took me a few months to download and unwind, as you explained how many thoughts the human mind processes during the course of a day …. zoom, zoom, zoom … now what was I thinking and why didn’t I stop what I was doing and write that down !?
Organizing / uncluttered my mind / house / computer, while organizing neighborhood yard sale and working on helping Henry with our yard projects I’ve dreamed of for years now, so should be ready to move into phase 3 of establishing my Internet Business.
So, looking forward to the day we meet, as well as some of your staff members. Jordon, thanks for your call in February, as it brightened my day, knowing Glenn has the best of employees working with him. So darn polite and a pleasure to speak with you.
Keep well always !
Brandi
P.S. Glenn, when you broke the law and filmed from that bridge, please tell me you checked out the schedule of the next train ~ due to one possible barreling through, before you wrapped up the shot. It looked like a scary jump down into that river ~ without a bungee cord / parachute attached to you / camera crew … tee, hee, hee !
The way you glanced over your shoulder periodically, was wondering if you would be filming ‘How To Outrun A Speeding Locomotive’, which would have stopped me immediately from going any further – listening to a crazy man and his followers(*_*)

Well said Glenn. There are many people who look at you with skepticism. Overcoming all that takes lot of self control and self esteem. Although I should say there are times which you want to sit down and cry. This is where everyone can use a good coach. I believe even a coach sometimes can use another coach and different view other than your own. Sometimes you have no clue how you could stand up for yourself and for what you want to do and what you believe in. It’s a mixture of everything I believe. But key is confidence.

Madusha:
Yes, everyone needs a coach. Someone who can open them up to a whole new way of seeing an opportunity that they have never seen before. But more importantly, someone who can help them with focus and execution on a daily basis.
You need to work with someone who can help you create Intellectual Property so that you can easily create and sell high priced programs and services. And you must be able to educate your ideal clients in a way that prevents anyone from competing with you. In other words, you must be able to protect your competitive advantage!
