Normally, when you hear ‘big backend’, this is not a good thing.

Except where your business is concerned- then you want to have the biggest backend possible.

Let me explain.

The most difficult part of your sales process is to gain a new customer. You have to overcome a lot of resistance and potentially a lot of objections to assist someone to invest with you.

The easiest part of your sales process is to convince a satisfied customer to invest again. This is where having the biggest backend comes in handy.

The general rule of marketing is that you should spend about 60% of your time re-selling existing clients into higher level products and services. So the bigger your backend, the more programs and options you have to serve them.

Once your client invests with you, try never to let them go. Focus on how your business can grow and evolve with them. What else do they need? What is their next level of challenge? Where are they getting stuck or frustrated as their business grows?

These are all good places to look for additional programs, products, or services you can create. As you build a bigger business backend, you will have many more options available to serve all your clients, which can stabilize your business and your cash flow.

By constantly moving your clients into new levels of engagement with you, it also pushes you to grow. You will need to seek out new methods and technologies in order to stay one step ahead and keep them growing along with you.

Take a look at your current client list. How can you activate them into deeper and deeper levels in your business? What would it take to grow your business backend?
