In one of the recent executive mentoring calls I held (these are calls for those enrolled in our high level mentoring and coaching program), we were focused on the topic of creating business systems and processes to help streamline the sales and marketing functions of your business.

The one thing that separates successful business operations from unsuccessful ones is the level of systematization that is in place. Highly successful businesses create systems and processes for all key business functions, and these systems and processes run each day and week, like clockwork.

Contrast that to a business that doesn’t have enough systems or processes in place, and where sales and marketing functions (the lifeblood of business) happen only occasionally, or, even worse- not at all.

If you want to be more successful at marketing and selling your high priced programs and services, you should begin by analyzing your business backend. This refers not only to what you sell, but how the product or service is sold, ordered and fulfilled. Could this process be made more routine or more systematic, freeing you up to focus on other things?

The classic entrepreneur is one who always has more work to do than time to do it. But the problem with this type of entrepreneurship is that the most important profit generating functions (sales and marketing) often get relegated to the back burner, and the business moves through cycles of feast and famine.

If you want to be a more successful marketer, start by putting in effective marketing systems. If you could use some help, I’d invite you to call our office at 519.542.3043 and request to speak to someone about our executive mentoring program.
