Passion Trumps Logic In Business Coaching – Every Time!
This blog post is a corrective confrontation of reality, to counteract one’s expectations from a mentor or coach. Not all teachers, mentors or coaches are alike! (unless they live in the depths of the sea of sameness)
My goal, in the past as a teacher and now as a mentor, has always been to raise the student above the teacher. This is even more applicable in today’s market and serves as the mantra for all mentors on our team.
To “go against the grain” or “swim against the current” is to do things in a way that is different from what is normal and accepted (the “mean”).
It takes commitment and courage to stop reverting to the mean.
The undercurrent will always be trying to drag you back to normal —back to the depths of the sea of sameness!
Having a mentor (or a team of mentors) helps you keep your eye on the goal…
Helps you counteract the undercurrent…
Helps you empower your passion.
When you add a mentor to the mix they help move you into action and find the discipline that will enable you to follow through.
When Work, Commitment And Pleasure All Become One And You Reach That Deep Well Where Passion Lives, Nothing Is Impossible.
NOTE: Don’t forget to watch the business coaching video at the end of this post. (The latest update from the sea of sameness!)
To accelerated profits with your passion!
Glenn
P.S.
Don’t devalue your worth, just like you’ve been shown and taught by the educational system. The educational system does a miserable job teaching anybody that has any kind of passion or aptitude above the mean.
What they’re half-decent at doing is educating people just below that mean to bring them up to what I call regression to the mean, law of regression.
Where is ”mean” actually found today in business – it’s found on the lowest rung of the value ladder.
I don’t understand why you would want to compete on the lowest rung of the ladder, where all the competition is!
My challenge to you is to find your passion and exceed those limits placed on you by others…
P.P.S.
My apologies for the delay at the beginning of this video but my clients take priority!
(You have got to watch the actual footage for yourself!)

Hi John:
Thanks for your comments. I NEVER intentionally cut anyone down. I only make it a habit to attack ideas that make no sense in today’s world–and unfortunately, this goes against most of what is taught as truth in the IM world.
A book is only a gateway into a new paradigm. A book–including mine–was NEVER meant to replace good coaching.
Thanks, John!

Hi Michael:
Thank you for taking the time to comment, Michael.
My passion is business coaching and seeing my clients produce huge monetary gains with their information.
In today’s world, as you know, you must be ready to differentiate yourself powerfully as the Internet has become in many ways a ‘Sea of Sameness’!

With what I have studied on your strategic planning program / marketing plan [Windsor notes], I am in agreement with your teaching methods and mentoring skills, only feel I’m not at the level to jump aboard with you [paying the price]of doing business with Sell High Programs. I’m working at a basic level, and have much honing to do, before enrolling in Your Program.
Searching for these past months, I have listened to so much of the same stuff – just packaged different, and coming out from the sea of sameness. Struggling with what my product was / what market I was aiming for / how I was going to package the product, caused me many restless nights. August 19th I had my breakthrough, and all the rest is future business / challenges. Just need to deal with business at hand in this day. It has been a long haul, but I see how it all can be possible by next year.
After I finish my University studies on web designing, my time will be well spent in moving into phase 3 of establishing my home based business / ebooks. Possibly then I will be seeing some cash flow and sliding into the need for marketing products [CD's / books], and be ready to do business with you and your staff. That’s when I’ll need a Marketing Mentor ~ Glenn.
If money isn’t coming in, it’s very difficult to pay others for services rendered, and keep the spouse calm about start up cost. Knowing your mentoring skyrockets your clients to success, your program is my #1 choice. Love some of the changes you have made in your web.

Brandi:
Remember, the greatest costs to business are in the mistakes that you will make by not having coaching.
I honestly can’t make any stronger recommendation than the need for coaching.
Check out Edgar Dale’s Research on Cone of Learning or go to the following URL on my blog to show why this is critical.

I became an affiliate with Glenn some time ago, but I never quite took his mentoring or coaching programs seriously. I was just an outsider looking in. Learning all of the stages necessary to help you move forward is something you can’t ignore and if you do, you will miss out on the key fundamentals that will either help build your marketing strategies, or decline your objectives.
