Credibility is one of the most important elements you must build as an entrepreneur. Without credibility, people won’t feel comfortable moving forward with you and investing in your high level programs and services.

Having studied credibility for some time, I have understood that there are two levels of business credibility, and I focus on leveraging both of these in my business today. I also encourage my clients to do the same.

The two levels of business credibility are knowledge and high level value.

Knowledge (also termed first level credibility) comes from your information and experiences. This level relates to the learning you have from formal schooling, the books you read, people you spend time with, and your own life experiences.

High value (second level credibility) comes from taking the knowledge you have and multiplying it times your self reflection. Most people don’t stop and think about what they actually gained from each of their knowledge-based experiences- and this, incidentally, is why people can have all these life experiences and educational experiences and still feel like they have nothing they could coach or train others, or that they have no expertise to base a business upon.

The beauty of these two types of credibility is that anyone- whether it be a stay at home mom, a highly educated professor, or a high school drop out- can use them to build a high level business.

Every life experience you have makes you somehow wiser, stronger, or better. When you combine these experiences with self reflection, you understand how they have given you skills and assets which you can apply in the service of others.

And when you can serve others, and help them reach their goals, you will be able to create an exciting and lucrative business based on your unique skillsets and ideas.

And this is, truly, the best kind of business to run- one that is both passion-filled and profitable.

As always, if you’d like to accelerate your business growth and learn how to properly value your life experiences, I’d invite you to work with me.
