Your Business Depends On Client Wants
To truly step into the “sweet spot” of your business, it’s crucial to understand that the effectiveness and success of your business depends on what your clients want. If you have adequately identified a target group for your business, it’s vital that you understand what they want, and then create your business to fill these wants.
One way to gather more information about what they want is to ask them to complete a survey. Since most people are bombarded with so many requests for information, it’s important that your request for feedback stands out.
To make your request for feedback stand out, consider offering a free bonus or gift in exchange for their input or suggestions. You can even collect this information in person, simply by taking a few (5-8) key clients out for coffee or lunch.
During your meeting with them, be sure to ask powerful, open ended questions to truly elicit useful and in-depth information. Ask them questions like, “What is the biggest problem you are facing right now?” and “What would make your job easier?”- and then be ready to really drill-down into each of these areas. At the conclusion of these 5-8 meetings, you will have a strong and well grounded understanding of what your clients really want.
Then it’s up to you to create this for them.
